As Severn Trent and WaterSafe-approved installers, Avon Water Services are proud to offer our services as part of Severn Trent’s Water Pipe Replacement Grant Scheme.
We are currently helping a large number of customers across the midlands replace water pipes (old, damaged lead pipework) utilising this scheme and are extending the offering of our water pipe replacement services to Coventry City residents.
What does the Coventry pipe replacement initiative entail?
As part of the scheme, Severn Trent Water will cover the cost (up to £1,300) of replacing your old lead service pipe, with a brand-new plastic supply pipe. This will also be a single-supply pipe, which is good news if you are also sharing a water pipe with the neighbouring building.
Am I eligible to take part in the lead pipe replacement scheme?
To qualify to have the cost of your lead water pipe replaced covered by the grant scheme, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Currently have a lead water supply pipe.
- Currently, be sharing a water supply with your neighbours.
- A damaged or leaking supply pipe.
- Be a homeowner or pay the mortgage on the property (renters may also apply but you will need Landlord permission first).
- Be within a CV1 – 6 postcode and/or pay Coventry City Council Tax
I think I qualify to have the cost of my old lead pipe replacement covered. What now?
Avon Water Services will need to confirm your eligibility. To do this we will visit your premises and carry out an inspection of the property and your water supply, FREE of charge.
If everything checks out, you will get the cost of our pipe replacement work covered by Severn Trent*.
